All this is now possible thanks to BBPlane, start-up Bari thanks to which pilots And passengers they can meet in a "space" for sharing the expenses of the flight. It is a unique experience, as specified on the site, and an opportunity to see the world from above, even on any weekday.
The idea was born from the minds of two under 30s from Bari, who created an opportunity for tourists and workers to move comfortably from one point to another, quickly, and thus giving young pilots the opportunity to accumulate flight hours, along different routes in order to practice in the cabin of the planes. By sharing the service costs, in this way, the costs that would otherwise be very expensive for most users are significantly reduced.
As reported by Repubblica.it, the two creators of BBPlane I'm the 24 year old pilot Daniele Spera, and the 27-year-old management engineer, Fabio Abbrescia. It all started when, together, they decided to travel together on a common route to save money. The former needed to accumulate hours to get his commercial pilot license and the latter had to go to Greece for work. Thus going from Brindisi to Corfu, they were able to share the costs of fuel and vehicle rental.
How BBPlane works.
Pilots, in possession of a European private pilot license and medical license, register on the platform. Passengers, in the meantime, can scroll the list of routes from the site, or alternatively propose new ones, waiting for the answers from the pilots in the area. After that, once you have agreed with the pilots on the number of bags to carry and on the payment methods, all that remains is to embark and enjoy the new frontier of flight sharing.
The costs, according to what has been learned, are set by the pilots and start from a minimum of 25 euros each.
