Aspiring Security Guard Course

The need for security is growing and with it the job opportunities in the security sector!

The Guardia Particolare Giurata (sworn security guard) is today a key professional figure working for security institutes and is recognised by the State pursuant to Ministerial Decree 269/10, which, in addition to regulating the minimum requirements for security institutes, introduced provisions concerning training.

These professionals hold, in the exercise of their functions, the title of Person in Charge of a Public Service.


TRAINING PROJECT

PREPARATORY PHASE

  • 50 hours minimum self-study for the teaching material provided in the preparatory phase and during lectures
  • Basic and technical English (on platform);
  • Specific teaching materials;
  • Initial Training Course for Aspiring Sworn Special Guards Ministerial Decree 269/2010 (1st part - 24 hours part on Asynchronous FAD platform)
+ 8 hours online of aviation legislation

CLASSROOM PHASE

  • 16 hours online in live streaming Ministerial Decree 269/2010 (2nd PART) (with the possibility of reviewing lessons recorded on the platform)
  • Full immersion 3 days in Rome (24 h) [De-Escalation, Self-Defence, DIMA, Radiogenic Equipment (1st part)]
  • Basic Fire Fighting - Asynchronous FAD 
  • First aid - Asynchronous FAD and live streaming    
  • Training D.Lgs 81/08 risk low - FAD asynchronous 
  • Counterterrorism: Analysis of the phenomenon - Asynchronous FAD  
  • Radiogenic Equipment - Asynchronous FAD (2nd part)
  • Anti-robbery course - Asynchronous FAD
  • Anti-theft course - Asynchronous FAD
  • Human Trafficking Course - Asynchronous FAD

TRAINING/INTERNSHIP PHASE

Internship of 100 hours in the trust services on national territory, giving priority to the region of residence or preference of the student (optional)

FINAL STAGE

Revision and optimisation of Curriculum Vitae with subsequent dissemination to companies in the sector nationwide.

At the end of the entire training course, Accademia del Lavoro will deal with job brokerage by constantly collecting job offers in the security field, which will be communicated to the students.

TEACHING PROGRAMME

Initial Training Course for Aspiring Sworn Special Guards Ministerial Decree 269/2010

  • Regulations on the minimum characteristics of the organisational design and the minimum quality requirements of the establishments and services referred to in Articles 256-bis and 257-bis of the Regulation implementing the Consolidated Law on Public Security, as well as the professional and technical capacity requirements.

Counterterrorism: TERRORISM ANALYSIS OF THE PHENOMENON

  • The course aims to analyse the meaning of the term terrorism and understand its evolution. Drawing a psychological and behavioural profile of those who commit terrorist acts. Methodology of the terrorist attack. Illustrate new forms of terrorism such as Radicalisation and the Insider Threat.

  • Developing practitioners' awareness of the phenomenon of human trafficking, providing useful tools to recognise it and intervene appropriately

EMPLOYMENT OUTLETS

The security guard has many opportunities to work in the security sector, responding to the practical needs and staffing of institutional and private structures, in charge of the Custody and Supervision.

You will be able to perform the following tasks:

  • Armed or unarmed surveillance at private facilities
  • Security service in public places with large crowds, to complement the work of the
    Armed Forces (e.g. airports, stations, ports, etc.)
  • Surveillance in places where money or valuable goods are exchanged (banks, jewellery stores,
    etc.).
  • Safekeeping and transport of cash or valuables
  • Video surveillance

  • Inspections and inspections

REQUIREMENTS

  • Be an Italian citizen or a citizen of an EU Member State;
  • Having reached the age of majority;
  • Be in possession of the secondary school leaving certificate;
  • Clean criminal record

Dr. Riccardo Francesco joined the State Police in 1988 and after 35 years of service he left with the rank of Inspector. During this long career, he has been largely involved in personnel training as a Personal Defence Instructor and in anti-terrorist activities at the “L. Da Vinci” Airport [...].
A former policeman with 34 years of service, security expert and bomb disposal expert, he also worked for EUROPOL.
