“I graduated in International Relations for Marketing, a major that gave me a solid basis for understanding the dynamics of communication and management.”
How did the idea of taking the Stopover Attendant course come about?
“The idea came from my childhood travels. I often had long stopovers and was fascinated by the hostesses on the ground. Their safety, professionalism and ability to convey calmness inspired me to want to be part of this world.”
A Training Path Full of Competences What skills did you develop during the course?
“I learnt all the necessary procedures for an airport attendant: from check-in to passenger boarding, from stowing luggage to handling documents and solving problems such as lost or damaged luggage. In addition, I acquired fundamental interpersonal skills to interact with passengers in a professional manner.”
Which lessons have impressed you the most?
“Definitely, the professional handling of passengers. I learnt that, by following procedures, every problem has a solution. This knowledge has given me a lot of confidence in my work.”
After the course, Evangeline carried out a internship at Are Group, a’a leading company in the airport sector, which allowed her to put the skills she had learnt into practice. This path was the springboard to her current position at the’Malpensa airport.
Today, what do you do and how did the ADL course help you?
“Today I work in the general ticket office at Malpensa Airport. The course provided me with a solid background on the airport world and an in-depth preparation on procedures, which was very helpful for me to quickly adapt to the job.”
What advice would you give to someone wishing to pursue a career like yours?
“I recommend being tenacious, self-confident and letting your passion guide you. When the first opportunity comes along, you have to seize it without hesitation.”
What do you like most about your work?
“I like that it is a dynamic and challenging job. Every day is different and presents new challenges to solve, which always makes it interesting.”

“To be a source of inspiration for other people. I hope my experience can encourage anyone who dreams of working in the airport industry to pursue their goals with determination.”
