Another beautiful success story from Accademia del Lavoro. Her name is Joseline Beugre, 32, from Empoli, and turned a big dream of hers into a concrete and real goal. A graduate as a Foreign Language Correspondent, Joseline decided, during the pandemic period, to turn her professional life around, following the call of the airport world, an ambition she had nurtured for some time.
After registering at the Course of Check-in Agent at Accademia del Lavoro, Joseline had the opportunity to fully understand the importance and responsibility of this professional figure. “First of all, the responsibility that this job entails is not to be taken lightly,” he said.” -reports. One of the lessons that impressed her most was the ability to manage nerves and emotions, an essential aspect in a complex environment such as an airport. In a position of direct contact with the public, it is essential to maintain self-control, balance and professionalism, skills that Joseline was able to develop thanks to the course.

"The instructors were enlightening,”he says, emphasising how useful it was to learn from professionals. Through practical examples and videos of real incidents, he was able to appreciate the value of collaboration in an environment of multiple, interconnected roles. “The airport is like a big machine made up of many cogs, they all have to turn in order to work,” he says.” observes Joseline, highlighting the importance of synergy between the different sectors and the many tasks present in an airport.

Today, Joseline works at the Florence-Peretola Airport (FLR), where she plays a crucial role as the “Disruption Flights Assistance“. In this position, it offers passenger assistance in critical situations, such as the cancellation or diversion of flights, working with GPSAs to ensure that travellers receive the help they need in times of distress. “Even though I am not at the check-in every day, the course has enabled me to understand which path to take,” affirms.
Joseline recognises the importance of support received from the Labour Academy also in the preparation of her CV and during selection interviews. Thanks to the practical advice and professionalism she gained, she was able to present herself more confidently at selections and get noticed for her competences.

In Joseline's account emerges a real passion for working in contact with the public. “First of all you have to like being around people,” states enthusiastically.
The gratification she feels when passengers thank her with a sincere smile reminds her every day how fulfilling her job is, despite the challenges it entails. “Every day is a new challenge,” she says, highlighting the difficulties of managing passenger inconveniences in a lively airport like Florence, where problems with cancellations and hijackings are the order of the day.
For Joseline, the objective is clear: continue to grow in the airport sector and aim higher and higher. This path has enabled her to turn a dream into reality, demonstrating how determination and focused training can lead to success even in a complex and dynamic field such as the airport industry. With tenacity and passion, Joseline Beugre today represents an example of professional fulfilment, inspiring anyone wishing to embarking on a career at the airport and building on the skills and values learnt through training.
