Professional Figure

The nautical technical operator constitutes a multifaceted figure within the maritime system as it acts as an interface between the different profiles of the maritime enterprise by bringing together supply and demand. Specifically, it must be able to manage the documentation relating to the movement and transport of goods, know the airport / interport operations and services that a nautical agency deals with.

Tasks and competences

The course has been designed to provide basic and complete training to all those who intend to undertake the profession of Nautical Technical Operator, a figure in charge of:

Conclude freight and passenger transport contracts with release of related documents
Provide assistance to shipmasters towards local authorities and third parties
Direct passenger boarding and disembarking operations
Receipt / delivery of goods
Front / office activities at port and maritime offices
Acquisitions of freight rates
Management of buying and selling boats on behalf of third parties
Operate in the quality system in compliance with safety regulations.

Career opportunities

There are many professional opportunities. The figure will work specifically in favor of nautical agencies and tourist ports.

How to apply

To apply for the course, it is necessary to fill in the information request form on the website www.accademiadellavoro.it, with which the candidate requires to participate in the selection for the course.

Facilities

The course provides for the indication of accommodation facilities located near the venue of the course and the possibility of obtaining the financing of the registration fee.
Accademia del Lavoro undertakes to disseminate the curricula of students to companies operating in the sector. Participation in the Course does not constitute in any way personnel selection activities.

Selection

For the participation in the course, there will be a selection test that includes:
- examination of the CV and motivation letter of the candidate;
- motivational and psycho-aptitude interview with a teaching consultant;
The selection board will communicate the outcome of the selection and admission to the course. Subsequently, the candidate can proceed to the completion and dispatch of the application form.

Preparatory Phase

3-month English course Gofluent "all you can learn" (alternatively, if you have at least a self-certified B2 level you can opt for one of the following languages: French, Spanish, German, Chinese (Mandarin), Portuguese (Brazilian) and Italian)
+ 14 hours of video lessons on the maritime code and the economic system of the sea
+ 2 hours live within 7 days from the start of the classroom phase.
Assessment test for the passage to the next phase.

Classroom phase

48 hours of lectures enriched with case studies and demonstrations

Project Work phase on specific situations

Internship phase (optional)

Dissemination phase of the professional profile in Italy
