Ambra Poggiogalle and the dream of becoming a station attendant

accademia-del-lavoro-intervista-ambra-poggiogalle

We like to tell good stories, because they are stories steeped in perseverance, enthusiasm, study and a lot of hard work. Like that of Ambra Poggiogalle, 26, from Tivoli, in the province of Rome.

A diploma from the linguistic high school and in the drawer the dream of working in an airport. A dream that, thanks to his strong and determined character and the training followed with Accademia del Lavoro, It became reality. And not by magic or chance: Ambra pursued her dream with all her heart, studied hard, prepared herself and finally made it. Today works as a stopover attendant for a handler in the’Fiumicino airport in Rome and is fully satisfied with her path, a path that has been enriched with technical knowledge and specific skills that only an excellent training course and an internship in the field can convey.

How did you get to know Accademia del Lavoro and how did the idea of enrolling in the course for stopover attendant come about?
I got to know him by surfing the Internet while looking for open positions for airport check-in clerk.

How was your training experience with ADL?
It was a very positive experience. I learnt a lot and got to know really inspiring people, teachers and realities.

What were the most important lessons you received?
I learnt a lot, especially that in this job we are a small cog in something very complex and our contribution is very important so that the whole organisational machine can work at its best.

What were the lecturers like and what will you always take with you of them?
The lecturers were very helpful and clear in their teaching, and I will remember the way they were able to convey their passion for this work.

What does this milestone represent for you?
It represents personal revenge and above all an opportunity to grow. New and unexpected things are the order of the day, just don't get discouraged and don't think you can't cope, but always take every day's challenges as a reason to learn new things.

How important is training to work in this sector?
Very much so, I believe it is fundamental along with many other factors, such as kindness, being able to complete one's tasks and seriousness, being able to remain calm even in situations of great stress, understanding the demands and needs of those in front of you.
