The search for targeted professional training can sometimes be more productive than the mere sending of numerous curricula to companies. The testimonies of young people looking for a job, and who have achieved their goal after relying on training courses held by professionals, are increasing more and more. Like Ferdinando Valente, the 23-year-old flew to Malta to start a new adventure as a Flight Dispatcher, serving a local airline. A point of arrival obtained thanks to the Accademia del Lavoro course, found through research on social media, to a viral image that appeared on the company's Instagram profile. An already clear path for Ferdinando, who moved from Calabria to Rome at the age of 13 to study in an Aeronautical Technical Institute. The passion for airplanes brought him to the middle of the Mediterranean, to Malta, for an important experience, a starting point for a long career in the sector.

Ferdinando, how did you find out about the Flight Dispatcher course?
“I found the announcement on the Accademia del Lavoro Instagram profile. After having thoroughly researched and had information about it, I took part in the course ".

How important is training to enter this world?
"It is essential, especially in light of the fact that at the time of the job interview it is the personal training itself that is put to the test through a test or verification".

An opinion on the teachers.
"Since these are professors who have already held the role of Flight Dispatcher, they were able to pass on to us students all their cultural background and the passion necessary to fill a role of responsibility".

Would he ever have imagined he could move to Malta for work?
“In all honesty, no. But this possibility that I took on the fly is also tangible proof that the sacrifices, sooner or later, are repaid. Just believe in yourself and your goals will be within reach. Starting this profession at the age of 23 fills me and my family with satisfaction, who have always supported me in all my choices ".

How do you see this opportunity? An added value to your experience?
“A springboard towards a long professional career. That's what I hope. A point from which to start and, even if I had to stop for some reason, I would still consider it a unique training experience of its kind ”.

What advice do you feel you can pass on to those looking for a job in this sector?
“I have always wanted to turn my passion into work, ever since I was a child and I started to get passionate about airplanes. Today, after all the obstacles, the sacrifices, the difficulties, I can finally say that the dream is starting to come true and I owe this to myself. So, here is my advice. We young people already know that we have to spend most of our lives working, so what is the point of starting a career in which we do not reflect ourselves ”.
