It happens on flight 3411 of the United Airlines from Chicago to Lousville: on a airplane overbooked, a man is picked up and dragged from his seat down the aisle after refusing to give up his seat. All filmed from a passenger cell phone.
The request to give up the seat had been addressed to all passengers and in the face of no response, a random choice of names was made, which was also offered the sum of 800 dollars to compensate for the waiver.
But it seems that even after the drawing of lots, a passenger - a doctor, according to the testimonies of some present - refused to abandon the plane.
The doctor justified his categorical refusal by saying that the next day he would have to meet some patients. Faced with the refusal of the passenger, three agents intervened, one of whom literally dragged him out of the aircraft.
After a delay of two hours, the plane left, to the dismay of those present. The company responded to the incident by blaming the agents, especially after the video spread like wildfire on social media, making the company look meager.
